The following section will describe the process of joining an Appointment:

  • When it’s time to join an Appointment you will need to locate the Appointment card. It will be found on the Home page and under the Appointments tab.

  • Under Upcoming you should see an invite card. Tap Join now on the invite card. The Join now button will become active, and change from grey to blue 5 minutes before the appointment is due to start, indicating that you are now able to join the appointment.

  • Tap ‘Join now’ to continue.

  • If the Join now button is still grey and your appointment is due to start within 5 minutes, leave the appointment page and then return to it to refresh the screen. The button should then appear in blue.

  • Before entering the appointment, you will be taken to a screen where you can check and adjust your camera and microphone settings. When you are ready, tap ‘Join’ again.

  • If your clinician has not yet joined the appointment, you will be placed in the waiting room. Please remain on this screen and do not navigate away from the app. Your appointment should begin shortly after the scheduled start time.

Appointment Tips

To ensure your video call Appointment runs smoothly, here is a list of things you will need:

  • A valid form of ID e.g passport or UK driving licence.

  • Good Wifi or 4G internet connection.

  • Somewhere private where you can talk about your health.

If you have any problems joining the video call please send your clinician a message.

To use headphones during your appointment, you can select your preferred audio output in the appointment settings. Tap the settings (cog) icon during the call, then choose either “Headphones” or “Speaker” to control where the audio plays.

Giving access to use microphone & camera

To join a video Appointment, you'll need to grant the app access to your microphone and camera. If you haven't already given permission you may need to use the steps below.

Android:

  • Find the Settings page on your device.

  • Select Apps from the list of options.

  • Select Roczen and then permissions.

  • Make sure you allow permissions for Microphone and also for Camera.

iOS:

  • Find and tap the Settings app on your device.

  • Tap on Privacy & Security.

  • Tap either Microphone or Camera.

  • Find the Roczen app in the list and toggle the switch next to it to On to allow access.

Ending an Appointment

Simply tap the hang up button to end the call. This button is red with a phone icon in the centre, and is in the bottom right corner of the screen.
